One of the things I’ve wanted to do in training my children is to prepare them to run a household. For the boys, to be able to manage in an apartment on their own and then to provide for a wife and children and for the girls to be able to run a home on their own, before and after marriage.
Part of that has to do with budgeting, specifically, grocery budgeting. Over the years we’ve been in varying stages of financial difficulties. Our grocery budget has always been a challenge to me as our family grew numerically and then age-wise (and thereby, appetite-wise). I always assumed that the things I did to tighten our belts were done by everyone else. I always felt so bad that I cannot cut our budget more than I do.
About a year ago (through participation on a message board with dear friends) I realized that I’m really not doing too badly in this area. To the extent that a friend suggested I write an e-book on how I buy groceries for the amount I spend.
So, I did it. Book Launch is July 30.
Today, I’m giving you a preview of the cover. Next week I (along with several of my blogging friends) will host a giveaway for the e-book. Actually I’ll be giving away 5 copies of the book on my blog: Cut It Out! How I Feed My Family of 10 for $500 a Month Without Coupons.
The first 4 days of my Launch, the book will be available for download for 1/2 off: $1.99. After that, the regular price will be $3.99. But sign up for the giveaway, and I’ll list other blogs where it will be available in giveaways. Be watching for it. I’m very excited to share this with you all.
Now it’s time for my link-up.

What a terrific idea for a book. I would love to review it on my blog. Transitioning from living with mom and dad to getting their own place is a huge change for young people.
