Thankful for the saints!

Prayer is vital at SMBC

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Col 3:15-17

I love that we are called to be an encouragement, support and strength for one another. I’m so thankful for the body of Christ. Not the ‘institutional’ church that many think about, but the REAL LIVING body of Jesus. I have come to love saints I will never know this side of Glory! I am blessed and uplifted by their hearts, their words of encouragement (sometimes gentle chastisement) and their faithful prayers for me.

Lord, let Your words of Truth and Hope pour out of my mouth
to enrich the lives of others.

I pray that my life, my words, my actions and my prayers would be a blessing and encouragement to others. Thank You, Father, for the strength You give to us through Your church and may my life be a beacon of hope and help to those around me. Amen!
