A little change of pace today.

So much in the news this week has been heart-wrenching. Evil is filling the hearts and minds of men with hate and self-righteous bigotry against anyone who is not identical to them. Our enemy, I believe, actually thinks he is winning the battle being fought in the heavenly places.

I am here to say that is NOT true!

Lies, lies and more lies.

He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44b

Satan is filling men’s minds with lies and murder. They cannot see the truth because their hearts are bent to pride and envy and hatred. The thing that saddens me beyond words are the little children being indoctrinated with this deception. It is a pattern of the devil to try and snatch innocent children into his web of deceit and darkness.

Unfortunately, these tactics are not new. This violence is not new to our century. There has been hatred against the Light in the world since the very Creation.

• We don’t have to be afraid.
• We don’t have to hide in shame.
• We don’t have to skulk away in defeat.

JESUS is the One who has come into the world to change the hearts and lives of men.

Victory in Jesus! He is our mighty warrior!

The LORD your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will exult over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. Zeph 3:17

Now is the time for us to take to our knees. This is a spiritual battle (even with the physical components of warfare, terrorism and death) and spiritual battles are fought in the spiritual realm. We must seek for the Spirit to cleanse our hearts so we are able to stand in the gap for others.

When we have taken the logs out of our own eyes, then we can begin to do battle in earnest. The enemy has nothing to accuse us of because we are covered by the blood of Jesus and taking refuge in Him. We can stand with open hearts before God and seek His divine intervention in these perilous times. We can give our prayers to the battle being fought all around us. And we can watch the work of our Savior!

Through all of this we can stand CONFIDENTLY before the Throne of Grace knowing that God is working His perfect will in the world today.

We can walk in the joy that comes from the depth of our salvation.

We can run into the arms of the One who loves us with a perfect love from before the foundation of the world.

And we can watch and see the salvation of God!

 Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me;
Fight against those who fight against me.
Take hold of buckler and shield
And rise up for my help.
Draw also the spear and the battle-axe to meet those who pursue me;
Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.”
Let those be ashamed and dishonored who seek my life;
Let those be turned back and humiliated who devise evil against me.
Let them be like chaff before the wind,
With the angel of the LORD driving them on.
Let their way be dark and slippery,
With the angel of the LORD pursuing them.
For without cause they hid their net for me;
Without cause they dug a pit for my soul.
Let destruction come upon him unawares,
And let the net which he hid catch himself;
Into that very destruction let him fall.
And my soul shall rejoice in the LORD;
It shall exult in His salvation.
