women helping women community

Greetings my friends and welcome to my weekly link-up! I’m delighted to see you here and want to encourage each of you to try and visit some of the bloggers who post here and read their blogs, leaving a comment (or Tweet it) to give them a little bit of encouragement along the way.

With my birthday coming up, I want to share a special cause that is on my heart.

I am on the board of Crazy8 Ministries, a healing ministry located in Joshua, TX. We offer free biblical counseling, discipleship, community outreach AND we have a restorative shelter for women and their children. In our shelter (the full program takes 2 years to complete), we are able to see women get clean and sober, get their education (either a GED and/or enter college, get children back, deal with areas of healing in their souls and bodies and come into a full and surrendered relationship with the Lord!

Here is the opportunity I want to share with you.

We have come to a stalemate with the town we live in and cannot further develop our land to add more housing on it. And so the Lord opened up the blessing of allowing us to put in the winning bid on the adjoining property that just came up for sale. We have less than 60 days to raise the money for the down payment.

I’m asking for my friends and readers to join me in celebrating my upcoming 60th birthday by giving a gift to Crazy8 for this land. I’m hoping to personally raise $1,000 by April 26. I know that is fast approaching, but I have already raised 11%.

Would you be willing to help me with this birthday project? If so, click on this link to donate via PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still choose to enter with a card (debit or credit). I only ask that you enter MY name in the Referred By spot, so I can track my progress. Any amount is a BIG help toward reaching my goal.

I would be so honored to have you join with me in celebrating something much bigger than 6 decades… celebrating the service of widows & orphans and meeting the needs of the poor! May the Lord bless you in this!!
