Teaching What Is Good Link-up #192

We are well in to our school semester and I’m looking forward to some great productivity. Only 2 1/2 more years and then my homeschool career is over. I’ve loved homeschooling my children, but I think I will also be glad to begin a new chapter in my life.

  1. Thanks for hosting again Kate! I cannot imagine being on the other end of my children’s school careers. My oldest is four and I get that gut-clench feeling just thinking about him approaching school age.

    • Hi Jamie, and thanks for joining again this week! I remember those days when I had 3 children under the age of 4 and could NOT imagine schooling them. But after more than 27 years, it is pretty much second nature. And the children do most of their work independently. It will be a bittersweet transition, but one I’m excited to see God work through, to leave those homeschooling years behind.

      Blessings to you, dear!

  2. Homeschooling is hard work Kate and I give you a high five for doing it. I am constantly amazed at how my friends who homeschool work so tireless, at what almost seems like around the clock rate, to bring their kids a quality education. Praying God blesses you in this season of life! 🙂

    • Hi NIcki! Thanks for sharing, but I’ve gotta say, it isn’t always so tirelessly! 😀 But after 30 years at it, i’m looking for a gold watch or a plaque or something! HAHAHAHA!!!

  3. Kate … my homeschooling career ended two years ago and I sometimes miss it. After over 20+ years doing it, it’s embedded in who I am as a mom. But this new season has been a good one too. Different for sure. Enjoy your last couple of years my friend. Thank you hosting. Have an awesome week.
