I love encouraging local businesses. We have had so many businesses close in our town and I want to share about the new ones that have opened. I want to encourage folks to visit them. One that I visited this week is:

This company is a franchise of Candy Bouquet, a unique store that specializes in making edible bouquets, bouquets of candy rather than flowers. It opened in April and it is a darling store.

If you haven’t gone in there yet, please go check out and try their many kinds of hard candies as well as the fudge and ganaches and their Kids Corner with varieties of pucker powders. And mention you saw this on my blog, so they’ll know I’m spreading the word!

  1. LOVE the look of this store…and who doesn’t love candy. We have a nice store like this in our neighboring town. So much fun to visit. We get the kids a gift card each year for Christmas as they sell candy by the pound. They make it last :0). It is awesome to support local companies. Without them where would we be?

    • I agree. While I know that shopping online can save $$ (even with the shipping, sometimes), I am a big proponent of supporting our local economies.

  2. My husband and I are all about saving money, but as much as we can, we try to support small business even though things may cost a little more. That candy store looks like a dangerous place! I’m so glad there’s not one where I live. I have a hard enough time staying away from my local yarn shop.
