The World dictionary defines encouragement as:
- to inspire (someone) with the courage or confidence (to do something)
- to stimulate (something or someone to do something) by approval or help; support
The New Testament has 3 different Greek words that are translated ‘encourage’. Although they are all different in some way, each one has an aspect of instilling courage.
My goal for this link-up is that we encourage one another. That we come alongside one another and share the things God is teaching us – to help build one another up in our faith, our families, our friendships and our fun!

God Himself gives us encouragement!
“Now may the God who gives perseverance and ENCOURAGEMENT grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6 (NASB)
