Back from my trip to Texas! {Teaching What Is Good #171}

I spent a week in Texas with a dear friend whom I’ve been discipling and then mentoring for the past 20 years. She has grown into a godly woman, strong in faith and the power of God with a ministry of healing to wounded hearts and lives. I am on the board of Crazy8 Ministries and had some great time of fellowship and support to the wonderful staff there!

The Lord brings refreshment to our scorched places.

This past weekend my husband and I were blessed and honored to facilitate the ceremony of their renewing their wedding vows. God gave us some great scriptures for them, some sweet symbols and a great time of celebration to help them step into this next phase of their lives together.

So, there was no blogging that week or yesterday. And I’m must catching my breath so I just have a few words of encouragement and my link up.

I just want to bless you all with some words of hope from our wonderful Lord we looked at this weekend:

The Lord will guide you always;
    he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
    and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
    like a spring whose waters never fail.
 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
    Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Is 58:11-12

As we look to serve the Lord with our lives, He calls us to reach outside of ourselves, to look to the needs of those around us, particularly those who are oppressed and needy. Are you experiencing the satisfaction of the Lord in your life? If not, perhaps you need to spend some time resting in His presence and letting His Spirit speak words of healing and hope over you and allow Him to use you in a mighty way for His Kingdom!

With much love to you all!
