A Month of Letters Challenge

My friend Tia at Depression Cookies shared about the Month Of Letters Challenge. In semesters past we incorporated letter writing into our schooling. Wednesdays was Letter Writing Day. Well, I think that February would be a great month to jump into it full swing! The past 2 days we designed some fun stationary and post cards for the children (and me) to use as we PLUNGE into this fun challenge.

Who doesn’t LOVE getting actual physical mail in the mailbox? It doesn’t matter how many e-mails, texts or comments on a blog I get, a real live (well, not literally) letter in the post is a DELIGHT to me – and to my children! I remember when I was very little and the mail came twice a day, but that stopped before I went to school. We would always wait for the mailman (women didn’t carry the mail back then) HOPING for something for us!

So, if you want to join the challenge, copy the button above and share it. Here are the rules:

  • In the month of February, mail at least one item through the post every day it runs (there are 24 of them). Write a postcard, a letter, send a picture, or a cutting from a newspaper, or a fabric swatch.
  • Write back to everyone who writes to you. This can count as one of your mailed items.

So, how about it? Anyone want to have some fun and get some mail in return? Jump in!

  1. Thanks for the mention. I think this is such a great challenge. I’m so looking forward to it. I feel like I’ve been reading your letters latey with your intimate revelations about your courtship with your husband. I’ve loved every minute. Hugs.

    • Tia, you are such a sweetie! Thanks. I’ll confess that this month is REALLY going to be a challenge for me. I am NOT a great letter writer. But so far, so good! ;-D
