Purchase my e-book “Cut It Out! How I Feed My Family of 10 for $500 a Month Without Coupons“.
This has been a season of stretching, in many ways. We have had some blessings and some trials. But through all of it, I am so thankful for God’s work in my life. My thankful post today is listing some things I’m thankful for - both the bounty and the stretching.
I’m thankful for
- Kevin’s summer income that paid for several large bills
- the opportunity to pay for Hannah’s car repairs
- the hospital’s willingness to take payments for my 2 stays last fall
- some working vehicles while another is out of commission
- watching for God’s provision with tree work that is needed
- many computers that will tide Kevin over until we can get his computer fixed or replaced
- some income from the sale of my e-book
- a job for Hannah
- more and more learning how to make do with less
- children who don’t like to pay retail for anything
- God’s abundant provision in every situation
- opportunities to bless others financially when they are struggling
It is very exciting to live this journey of faith and to walk it hand-in-hand with Jesus. Some days I lose my focus and fall into stress and fear. Most days I am able to look with eyes of faith and trust. I pray that He keeps my eyes steadily on His face and that joy is what gives me strength each day to seek out and behold His abundant blessings!

God is so faithful. Thank you for sharing (and I will be checking out your book for sure!)
Thankfulness has been a HUGE focus in my life this past year…I am often unappreciative of God’s blessings, almost assuming. My Thousand Gifts list has been ignored for 2 weeks…thanks for the reminder!
What a wonderful list of thanks! Getting bills paid off is always such a huge blessing. Have a wonderful day
Great list! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Just stumbled upon your blog – love the topic areas! And your e-book looks very interesting – as I’m into budget cooking too. Keep up the good work!
