Autumn on the prairie CAN be fun!

Even though I’m not in my beloved New England, I still am enjoying this beautiful season here on the prairie.

Have I ever mentioned how decoratively challenged I am? I have a few friends here in my church (my friend Paula in particular comes to mind) who have more creativity and vision for beauty in their little finger than I’ll ever understand. I sit back and marvel at the things they come up with.

But I do what I can with the little bit I’ve got. Here are some photos of the few things I’ve done to brighten up our home with the colors of fall.

Beautiful Kate, I decorate for fall inside as well. Love this time of year!

  • I want to come and visit and sit under that fantastic ceiling you have :0)!

HAHA!! Donna, it really IS cute! I got the idea from a restaurant we had in town. I loved the ceiling beams being decked out with lights and garlands and thought how much I’d love to do that. Then our drop ceiling and plaster beneath all fell down. Now I actually HAD ceiling beams (or floor beams from the second floor, depending on how you want to look at it) to decorate! ;-D

  • I love the hurricane lanterns you made with dollar store parts! So creatively frugal. My favorite kind of decorating.

Well, unfortunately, someone broke one of them…but no matter. $1 and some hot glue should make another one!!
